About Artists Circle
Artists’ Circle is an association of fine craft artists who live and work in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Artists’ Circle serves as an educational advocate for fine crafts; plus it promotes venues for the exhibition and sale of work by local professional fine craft and fine art artists. Originality, craftsmanship, creativity, skillful use of materials, as well as presentation and sale-ability are the professional criteria.
The organization produces juried art fairs, including the highly regarded Art at Ramsey (since 1995) and Art at Highland (since 2000) in conjunction with Saint Paul Community Education; and Art at Shoreview (1999-2005, 2007) in cooperation with Gallery 96 Art Center in Shoreview.
- Artists’ Circle takes pride that its art fairs are organized and run locally by artists for artists.
- Artists’ Circle encourages new fine craft artists to exhibit and sell at juried art fairs with its Emerging Artist Scholarships.
- As part of its dedication to educational outreach, Artists’ CIrcle is committed to encouraging school-age youth to pursue their artistic interests, with the Youth Art Fair at Art at Ramsey and Art at Highland
New for 2008 was Art at St. Kate’s, July 12, with 100 juried artists. This outdoor show will be held on the beautiful triangular lawn of the College of St. Catherine at Randolph and Cleveland Avenues, Saint Paul.
Artists’ Circle was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1997.
